The giveaway is a jar of organic, raw, wild, and unprocessed honey from Tropical Traditions. Admittedly, I am not a fan of honey because of the after taste. Once I tasted it, I had to have another taste because I didn’t detect an after taste! I love this honey and I will be using more of this brand personally and at Carolyn Akens Raw Food Institute! If you would like a jar of your own, please tell me in the comment section below how you will use the honey and the winner will get their own jar of honey. You can follow Tropical Traditions on twitter @troptraditions or sign up for their newsletter at www.tropicaltraditions.com
I will close the giveaway on October 7.

Am I really going to have hot fun in the summertime? Yes I am! It’s sizzling outside, but I’m inside doing the things that I want to do without “worrying” about the heat index outside. I will turn the stereo on and listen to some great music, or listen to audio CDs that I have put on hold; make a yummy fruit smoothie to sip on; and later, I can make some chocolate macaroons using the recipe below. So you see, I will have hot fun in the summertime!
What are you going to do to create some hot fun in the summertime?
It’s time for another give away from Tropical Traditions. The winner will get a container of shredded coconut. I have created the recipe below using their shredded coconut (it’s so good) for chocolate macaroons.
Chocolate Macaroons
3 cups dried, unsweetened shredded coconut flakes
1/3 cup coconut oil
1 cup cacao powder
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup agave nectar, optional
1/8 teaspoon Himalayan Pink sea salt
1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients and stir well to combine. You can also use a standing mixer with a paddle attachment.
2. Using a small ice cream scoop, place the macaroons on the Paraflex sheet on the dehydrator tray. Dehydrate at 105 degrees for 24 hours. Macaroons should be crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside.
